Membership at Winterspring Sanctuary
Winterspring Sanctuary memberships offer individuals and families a meaningful way to become part of our healing community while supporting access to trauma-informed, equine-assisted mental health services. Members play an essential role in sustaining our programs, caring for our horses, and expanding access for those facing emotional and mental health challenges.
Through annual giving, members help underwrite sessions for referred clients, support professional facilitation, and maintain a safe, restorative environment for both participants and horses. In return, members receive special opportunities to connect with our mission through behind-the-scenes experiences, educational events, and community gatherings.

Impact Sponsorship Opportunities at Winterspring Sanctuary
At Winterspring Sanctuary, Impact Sponsorships offer donors a meaningful way to align their philanthropic passions with direct, measurable change in the lives of individuals seeking healing and hope.
An Impact Sponsorship is a major gift that supports equine-assisted mental health sessions for individuals facing specific challenges. Donors may choose to direct their sponsorship toward causes they care deeply about—such as supporting survivors of domestic violence, veterans living with PTSD, youth at risk, or individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, and depression.
Through these sponsorships, funds are used to underwrite professionally led, trauma-informed sessions for clients referred to Winterspring by trusted community partners, healthcare providers, and advocacy organizations.
Each sponsored session is facilitated by a licensed mental health professional and an equine specialist, ensuring ethical, clinically responsible, and high-quality care.
Impact Sponsors make access to healing possible for individuals who may otherwise face financial barriers to mental health services. Their generosity helps remove cost as an obstacle and ensures that vulnerable populations can experience the grounding, relational, and restorative power of working with horses in a safe, supportive environment.
In return, sponsors become partners in transformation. They receive regular impact updates, stories of progress, and opportunities to see firsthand how their investment is changing lives within our community.

This is an exciting time to be a part of our growth. In July 2025 we received The Women’s Giving Center grant to serve women referred to us from a local domestic abuse organization. The grant means we can offer this therapy at no cost to the clients. Additionally, we have a contract with Snyder County Children & Youth Services to provide mental health support to caseworkers and families. Your support will help lay the foundation, literally and figuratively to our ongoing work in this region. Your sponsorship will help us:

Ongoing support for our farm & facilities for therapy, including pasture and shelter

Grow and care for our herd. We adopt rescued horses who have expenses such as feed, farrier services, veterinary services, and training

Fund initial operating costs, website and promotion development, insurance, fundraising, grant writing, and staff development

Provide scholarship-funded, trauma-informed equine-assisted mental health sessions at no cost to individuals receiving care for PTSD, trauma-related disorders, anxiety, depression, substance abuse disorders.

Enable us to increase self-efficacy and self-confidence in our clients and improve emotional regulation and interpersonal communication by providing nature-based alternative therapy to those not responding to traditional talk therapy.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, we rely on the generous contributions of supporters to help us provide care for the animals we rescue and operate programs that serve our community members.
